Veterans Tribute

The Danby Cemetery Society had it's annual tribute for veteran's on May 29, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at the township hall.

2011 Cleanup Day - Annual Community Clean Up Day

Danby Township Recycle Program In Partnership with City of Portland

Beginning in April of 2009, Danby Township has joined with the City of Portland in offering its citizens recycling services. To participate, Danby residents need to take permitted recyclable materials to the Portland DPW compound at 451 Morse dr. and contact Royal or another DPW employee to be guided to the appropriate containers. Materials permitted for recycling are: magazines, clear glass, plastic, tin, aluminum and cardboard. Any paper labels on tin cans or bottles needs to be removed. Clean used anti freeze and clean motor oil are accepted only on Mon. thru Fridays.
Hours of operation are: 7am – 3pm Mon. thru Fri. and 8am – 2pm every 1st and 3rd Sat. of each month. For further information call Royal at 517-647- 6129.
